Scholastic Book Fair
Thank you very much for everyone’s support with the school book fair. As a result school will be able to order new books for the school library.
Parent Governor
We are very grateful to have had two nominations for parent governors. Please read the personal statements below from the two parents. We are hoping to have a google form vote available to parents from Monday. Note there are two votes per family.
Saeed Ghobadi
“As a father of a child currently in KS1, I originally moved to the UK in 1997 to study at Durham University. Originally from a Persian/Iranian background, English is my second language. However, over the years, I’ve run several businesses and have always enjoyed working with diverse people. I respect all religions and value friendships across different faiths. I’m passionate about advocating for the best educational experiences for all children, supporting the physical and emotional well-being of Ravenswood students, and helping the whole school work together as a united team.”
Karley Ryan
“I am a mam of two lovely boys, and have worked in SEND education sector for 16 years, 6 of which I have been part of the senior leadership team. I have a passion for education, specialising in curriculum design and positive behaviour support, ensuring it is person centred and inclusive for all.”
Voting will be open until Friday 6th December.
Friends of Ravenswood Christmas Fair
We are looking forward to our Christmas Fair which will be immediately after school on Friday 29th December. Children should be collected from classes as usual and then families can then walk around to either the main office or the car park entrance to enter the fair. It costs £1 per adult to come in. Please bear with us as we can’t open the doors to the fair until our staff have safely handed over the children and then quickly made their way to run the stalls/activities alongside the Friends of Ravenswood.
Training Day
A reminder that we have a school training day on Friday 6th December and that school will be closed to children.
