Beautiful Weather
It’s been so lovely to welcome the children back to Ravenswood after the Easter break – especially to such lovely weather. It’s been really nice to see the children making full use of our lovely grounds. We had a visit earlier from the North East Community Forrest team who are going to help plant more trees in the grounds and hopefully develop further the outdoor space.
Can we please ask that when the weather is forecast to be very sunny that you apply suncream to your child and also send them to school with water bottles. I’m very aware that after writing this – I’m sure it will now rain next week! We’re also updating the school uniform page on our website to include shorts.
Year 6 Leavers Information
A parent helpfully spoke to me on the yard this week to ask me when the year 6 leavers assembly would be. We’ve discussed this with the Year 6 team and the leavers assembly will be on the final Wednesday of the school year (Wednesday 16th July) at 10:30am.
Newcastle Panathlon Event
This week children from across KS2 did a brilliant job at representing Ravenswood Primary School in the Newcastle Panathlon. The children showed great sportsmanship cheering each other and other schools on.
Bank Holiday Monday
School will be closed on Monday for the Bank Holiday. We will reopen as usual on Tuesday 6th May.
