Christmas Fair
Thank you so much to everyone who was able to come and join the Christmas Fair last week and especially to the Friends of Ravenswood (FOR) who organised lots of fun activities and stalls for the children. A staggering £2800 was raised which enormously helps the FOR to fund lovely things for the children.
The FOR have agreed to fund something that will make our school look much nicer for our children, this is being installed in school today and I can’t wait to share it with the children on Monday – we’ll look to upload this onto social media.
Christmas Activities/Shows
Despite the pesky Christmas elves sneaking into classrooms this week, the children have been brilliant at rehearsing. It’s been lovely to hear so much singing and we’re really looking forward to performances next week. We’ll open the doors 10 minutes before the shows start (at the main school entrance).
For the KS2 singalong at St Gabriel’s Church, children will be sitting at the front of the central pews so could any parents, family/friends please sit on the left or right hand side areas. Show times are as follows:

Sporting success
This week, Mr Chapman has been very busy organising lots of sporting activities and opportunities for Ravenswood children including the girls football team winning, children taking part in the sportshall athletics tournament and a ten pin bowling challenge. This has contributed to our school being the first school in the city to receive the ‘Equal Access School’ award.
