11.04.2025 - Newsletter
We’re at the end of another fantastic term at Ravenswood Primary School. We’ve achieved a lot this half term having parents in for world book day, book looks and parents evening. We’ve had successful residentials with Hawkhirst and Robinwood, visitors into school, trips out of school and so many lovely lessons. I’ve really enjoyed seeing children using the outdoor areas and the garden. There are so many lovely pictures on our school social media feeds if you haven’t already had a chance to view.
Egg Hunt
Last week I mentioned in the newsletter that teachers would be giving out golden tickets every day this week for an egg hunt. Initially we only had enough chocolate eggs for 5 children from each class (golden ticket winners). However, the fantastic staff at Ravenswood, the wonderful Friends of Ravenswood and some very generous parent helpers contributed enough eggs so that all of the children were able to hunt for a chocolate egg today. It was really lovely!
Friends of Ravenswood Eggcellent competition
What a difficult decision the anonymous judge had when they had to choose a winner from each year group. There were so many phenomenal entries from very talented children. Please make sure you come to collect the entries today so that we don’t have a wonderful eggy funk in the corridor after Easter!
We have a very supportive school PTA (parent teacher association) in the Friends of Ravenswood. They’re always looking for more members to join and have great ideas for future events. If you would be interested in joining or finding out more information please contact: info@friendsofravenswood.com
Key dates for the future:
Weds 11th June – Great get together – on Wednesday 11th June we will be inviting families into school for the great get together in the afternoon.
Friday 27th June - Summer fair – The Friends of Ravenswood PTA will be hosting the Ravenswood Summer Fair. This year we will be closing school early at 2pm so that we are able to start the fair at 2:15pm. Any children that wouldn’t be able to be collected at 2pm would be able to stay in school and could be collected at the usual home time and still participate in the fair. This would help to stream the flow to the fair and won’t keep the fair going too late for the volunteers that help to support tidying afterwards.
