Christmas Activities/Shows
It was lovely to see so many families turn up for our many Christmas shows this week. The children performed brilliantly and are very excited about their parties next week. It was lovely to be supported by the school band at St Gabriel’s this week:

Children will be able to wear party clothes at school on the day of their party (they don't need to wear uniform and bring party clothes in a bag). This means that children don't then need to spend time getting changed in school and makes sure that there aren't any issues with children losing their clothes.
As there are many different dietary requirements for children across school, children can bring an individual plate of party food/snacks on their day of the party (please label the plates!) However, this doesn't need to be a substantial meal as children will have had a school dinner/packed lunch on this day, please remember we are a nut free school.
Previously on the last day of school term, children have brought in toys from home. In the past this has caused issues with toys being broken/lost. We want to avoid children being upset on the last day of term and so we are asking that children don't bring in toys this year, but they will be doing something fun with their class.
Non-uniform winners
Red Dragons – Children in the red house collected the most amount of house points this half term and will be able to come to school in non-uniform on the last day of term (Friday 20th).
New school vision:
After Christmas shows this week, I’ve been speaking to parents about the new school vision:

We will be looking to update the school website with further information on this after the Christmas holidays.
I also spoke to parents about the new school timings for January 2025:
- Children in KS2 will need to be in school and registered between 8:40am and 8:55am
- Children in Reception to year 2 will need to be in school and registered between 8:45am and 9:00am
- Children in Nursery will need to be in school and registered between 9.00am and 9:15am
Any children arriving after their times will need to be taken to the main school office. We are hoping that by giving a 15 minute window to drop children at school, we will reduce the amount of children arriving late.
