Non-Uniform Winners – Inspire

A very well done to children from the yellow tree – inspire who managed to gain the most amount of points this half term and have earned a non-uniform day next Friday. Lots of children this week received their Bronze certificates (for gaining 50 house points) and have earned a Bronze bonus breaktime on the pirate ship this afternoon.
Ravenswood Raven

The Under 11 girls' football team (The Ravens) began their league defence on Tuesday evening against their local rivals. The girls played superbly, winning two, drawing one and losing one. Well done girls!
Photograph day
A reminder that on Wednesday 22nd October we have school photographers coming into school. Further information has gone out to parents via the school app.
Please send your child into school in school uniform. If your child has PE on this day, please send their PE kit with them so that they can get changed.
Outdoor learning Progress
We hope you’ve enjoyed seeing lots of the outdoor learning activities our children have been taking part in on our social media channels. This week our wonderful caretaker – Mr Kennedy – has been moving some of the trees to clear a space so that we’ll be able to install a fire pit to then have some camp fire sessions and keep warm when it gets colder.

EYFS visits
On Monday and Thursday, we’re looking forward to welcoming in Nursery parents to our stay and play sessions and also to welcome Reception parents on Friday afternoon.
Thank you!
We received a lovely letter from the people’s kitchen thanking our school community for the many donations you provided:

Please note that Ravenswood road and the surrounding streets (Farnley Road, Stanmore Road) are closed from 8am until 9:30am and again from 2:30 until 4pm.

These closures are part of the safer streets scheme. This is a reminder to parents to not use these roads between 8 -9.30am and 2:30-4pm to keep children safe when journeying to and from school.
