Thank you very much to the Friends of Ravenswood for organising such fun discos for our children this week. All of the money raised goes towards supporting the children in school. There were some amazing dance moves on display!

Key dates and information for next half term:

Thursday 6th March - World Book Day.

We’re having ‘Snuggle up with a Book’ as the theme for this so children (and staff!) can come to school in pyjamas / dressing gowns etc if they wish. We’re welcoming parents into school on that day to join in an activity with your child.

On that morning, KS2 parents are invited to come in at 9am (after dropping children off as usual from 8:40 on the yard) via the main entrance and will be directed to classrooms.

EYFS/KS1 – are invited to school for 2:30pm.

Tuesday 11th and Thursday 13th MarchBook Look

Classrooms for children in Year 1 to Year 6 will be open to parents for 30 minutes after school to have an opportunity to look through their children’s books ahead of parents evening. Children will leave school as usual and then any parents wanting to come with their child to look at books should head to the main entrance for KS1 or the car park entrance for KS2. A bell will ring to signal the end of the sessions.

*Note year 4 children can come on Tuesday 11th and Wednesday 12th as they will be on the Hawkhurst residential on Thursday 13th and won’t be able to look through books on that day.

Tuesday 18th and Wednesday 19th March  – Parents evening the booking system will go live on Tuesday 4th March at 5pm and will close at noon on the 14th. Parents evening slots will from 3:30 – 6pm on both days.

Thank you

Thank you for your support this half term. I’ve had lots of positive comments from parents about the new soft start being supportive for children. It’s helped to improve school attendance, reduce lateness and help children have a calmer start to the day. Children coming in PE kits has resulted in more learning time and less time getting changed. There are so many wonderful learning experiences shared on our social media feeds. If you haven’t had a chance yet to view them, there are links are on our home page.
