Calling all creative parents
Do we have any talented, artistic parents who would be willing to help us create decorative trees for the school? We’d love to add them to areas like the main entrance, the school office, and other spaces around the building. If you’re interested in lending a hand, please let us know—we’d greatly appreciate your creativity and support! (Note this doesn’t only have to be to do with making trees – support in any art areas would be appreciated!)
RGS Floodlit Football Champions!
The year 6 u11 football team were once again victorious, this time winners of the RGS Floodlit Football Tournament. Player for player they were outstanding on the night - maintaining their unbeaten run and, on this form, look unstoppable! Well done!
Nut free school
Just a friendly reminder that Ravenswood is a nut-free school. Some of our students have severe nut allergies, and we want to ensure everyone's safety and well-being. Please avoid including any nuts in home-packed lunches. Additionally, for younger children, kindly cut larger fruits like grapes into smaller pieces to prevent choking. Thank you for helping us keep our school safe!
Safer streets:
To help make journeys to and from school safer for children, Ravenswood Primary School, along with some other school in Newcastle and the Ouseburn Learning Trust got involved with the Newcastle City Council scheme ‘safer streets’.
This is a reminder to parents to not use these roads between 8 -9am and 2:30 and 4pm to keep children’s journeys to school safe. If you would like more information or would like to get in touch with the council about this, please visit the website below:
