Ravenswood Primary School

Ravenswood Primary School

Week beginning 11th July 2022

A slightly early blog this week, as I am away on Friday.

I hope you all received your child’s school report and enjoyed sharing it with them. If for any reason you haven’t received it, please let me know.

This week has been much quieter, as we gear up for the final week of school.

Nursery held their end of year celebrations on Wednesday and Friday, sharing some songs and memories of the year, as well as enjoying a lovely get together. It has been a fabulous year in Nursery and the children have made such great progress. Thanks to all of the staff in the setting.

We held our “meet the teacher” sessions on Thursday morning, when the whole school moved up to see their new classroom and find out what was in store for them next year. There were lots of excited children and we hope that they are now comfortable about what is happening in September.

Most of our Year 6 pupils were out at their new schools this week. They seem to have had a great time and we look forward to welcoming them back for their final week.

Thanks to everyone who took part in the Ravenswood Great North Run on Tuesday. It was a super turn out raising £120 for the Great North Children’s Hospital. Nearly 1000 laps of the track were completed!

Next week, we have Sports Day on Monday, Inflatables Day (provided by The Friends of Ravenswood) on Thursday and Leavers’ Assembly on Friday.

We then break for summer on Friday 22nd July at 3:15 and return on Tuesday 6th September.
