Ravenswood Primary School

Ravenswood Primary School

Week beginning 18th July 2022

Happy Summer Holidays!

We made it! A full year without a school closure feels like a victory after the previous two years and especially as restrictions have slowly lifted and Ravenswood has returned back to normal.

This week has been one of celebration.

On Monday we had a rather warm Sports Day, which was well attended by families and thoroughly enjoyed by the children. The winning class was Class 20, so special congratulations to them.

On Wednesday and Thursday, we had two Reception end of year assemblies, which were lovely with memories of the year and some great singing.

On Thursday, the Friends of Ravenswood helped us to celebrate a great year by providing “Inflatables Day”, which was a lot of fun for the children.

And Friday was all about our fantastic Year 6 pupils who left us to move on to their new secondary schools. They really have been a superb group of children to have in school and their Leavers’ Assembly was shared with the whole of Key Stage 2 and then with families. It was great to see everyone and to celebrate their success. We wish them all well for their very bright futures.

Stay safe and have a great summer break. Staff have a training day on the first day back and so school opens again at 8:55am on Tuesday 6th September. We look forward to seeing you all again then.
